Westside (7-7) wins game one of their spring break tournament by a score of 9-7. Mikey Scott (3-1) gets the win on the mound, striking out 6 and walking 2 on the day.

The Rams scored 2 in the first inning thanks to a lead-off 2B from Noah Robinson, a single from Zade Miles, and an eventual SAC fly from Mikey Scott that led to a second run via a throwing error.

The Rams scored 4 in the 4th, highlighted by a Braeden Jordan pinch hit RBI 1B. The Rams added 3 more in the 6th, as 8th grader Tyler Scott led off the inning with his first career varsity hit, which led to eventual 2 out RBI hits from Luke Boyce and Mikey Scott.

The Rams carried a 9-0 lead going into the 7th inning, before the bullpen imploded, struggling to find the last 3 outs. The Rams escaped before the Patriots could complete their comeback.

Westside will play game 2 of their spring break tournament vs. Crescent at 7:00 on Tuesday.
